Discounts on Tata Tiago, Nexon, and other models

A few Tata Motors dealerships are offering a range of discounts this month. 

These benefits are available in the form of cash discounts, exchange bonus, and corporate discounts.

The Tata Harrier and Safari are available with a cash discount of Rs 40,000 each. The XZ+ variants of the Tiago and Tigor are offered with a cash discount of Rs 10,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000, and a corporate discount of Rs 3,000. All other variants of both models receive an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 3,000. 

Discounts on the diesel variants of the Tata Nexon include an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. The petrol variants of the sub-four meter SUV can be availed with a corporate discount of Rs 3,000. There are no discounts on the Punch, Altroz, Nexon EV Max, Nexon EV Prime, Tigor EV, or the CNG-powered variants of the Tiago and Tigor.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder top-four variant prices are revealed by Toyota

The ex-showroom variant-wise prices for the top four variants are mentioned below– S eDrive 2WD Hybrid – Rs 15.11 lakh V AT 2WD Neo Drive – Rs 17.09 lakh G eDrive 2WD Hybrid – Rs 17.49 lakh V eDrive 2WD Hybrid – Rs 18.99 lakh Prices for the above-mentioned variants are only revealed as of now, for the remaining variants it will be announced shortly. Toyota has announced the prices for the top four variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. 

Toyota had already commenced bookings for the SUV against a token amount of Rs 25,000 in July. The vehicle will be available in four variants: E, S, G, and V. The SUV will be available in two powertrains – Neo Drive and self-charging strong hybrid electric. 

Engine Options 1) 1.5-litre engine with THS (Toyota Hybrid System) 2) Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K-series engine

Lamborghini launches super sports car Huracán in India


Super sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini on Monday (22/9/2014) launched its brand new offering in the Indian market-- Huracán, priced at Rs. 3.43 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
According to the company, the new sports car is the successor to the iconic Gallardo, which sold 14,022 units and became the most successful Lamborghini model ever made.

"Since its global launch at the Geneva Motor Show, the customer response has been very positive; they are delighted with the new design philosophy. Deliveries of these units are scheduled to begin in October 2014," said Pavan Shetty, head - operations, Lamborghini India.

The Huracán is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine with 610 hp and reaches a top speed of over 325 km an hour with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz to launch the GLA-Class on 30 September

Mercedes-Benz will launch the eagerly awaited luxury crossover, the GLA-Class, on September 30.Based on the company’s new Modular Front Architecture (MFA) platform, the GLA is a new product like the recently launched CLA 45 AMG.

The GLA is expected to be offered with a choice of two engines –

  1. 1.6-litre petrol with an output of 156bhp and 250Nm of torque
  2. 2.1-litre diesel engine will produces 135bhp and 300Nm of torque. 
  3. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with paddle shifters will be mated to both these engines. 

The GLA internationally comes equipped with:

  1. 18-inch alloy wheels
  2. Automatic bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights
  3. Auto-on wipers
  4. Front and rear parking sensors with active parking assist. 
  5. Nine airbags
  6. Satnav
  7. Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming
  8. Dual-zone climate control
  9. Reversing camera
  10. Six-speaker audio system.

 Expect these features to be carried forward tothe Indian model as well.

The GLA is a niche product and it will set a new benchmark for entry-level crossovers in India. Although we aren’t sure of its pricing, we expect it to start from Rs 30 lakh and go upto Rs 40 lakh depending on engine option and variants. It competes with the likes of the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3. The German carmaker will also launch a hot AMG variant of the crossover, the GLA45 AMG in 2015.
